Proving Our Worth: How Speakers Deliver Return on Attendance

Return on Attendance Part 2

Ever recognize that six months after a conference, attendees often find your handouts and their notes – with everything they intended to do and didn’t. You know, the notes with the ideas that would make their investment in that meeting pay off. Wonder if this ever happens to your meeting attendees? You bet it is!

Or, if a meeting planner asked you, "What do you do in your programs to ensure ROA and can you prove it?" would you have an answer? Do you know what ROA actually means to the Meeting Professionals who hire you? Wonder if these are real questions being asked by your meeting planners? You bet they are!

Somewhere between smile sheet evaluations and full-blown ROI calculations, sits ROA (Return on Attendance), a practical and manageable process for supporting real results for attendees when they return to their organizations. More than ever, speakers are being asked to explain their content and methodologies, while justifying their fees. Those speakers who want to provide tangible value to both audience members and the people who hire them understand that their responsibility doesn’t end when the speech is over. We’ve asked NSA Past President, Chris Clarke-Epstein, CSP, author of NSA’s first White Paper, How Speakers Deliver Return on Attendance to put us to work and help us explore this new speaking reality.

During our morning session with Chris, you’ll roll up your sleeves and work to learn and practice the language of ROA, study the factors that impact whether participants actually use your content, and learn the Success Factors valued by C-level Executives.
In the afternoon, we’ll turn our attention to your business model – creating an ROA process that fits your content and style in seven steps. You’ll learn a basic 3-Step ROA process, explore additional services you can add to your programs that will increase their ROA and your revenue, create website copy or a promotional piece that will describe the ROA activities you embed in your services, and most importantly, develop your own ROA Plan of Action.

As a bonus, all participants will receive an electronic copy of the NSA White Paper, How Speakers Deliver Return on Attendance

It's an incredible value to members at $30 and to guests at $40.

Members, if you don't see the member registration for the afternoon session below, please log in.
